Ryokan Warakuen

451. Ryokan Warakuen, Ureshino ★ I went for a higaeri using 8 Ureshino tickets, and they give you a towel set. Higaeri is listed as 11:30~14:00 (except Tue). They stamp 10 Ureshino onsen. The bath photos online match what is there. This onsen has a special feature, they make a tea onsen, and they really put a tea bag in the drain. But in the bath itself I could not figure out where to find this tea water, and the only place with a mark and slightly greenish water was the cold-water tub, so maybe the tea water in the large bath does not look or smell different, maybe they did not put in the bag that day, or maybe it applies to other baths I did not get to. Inside there are two corner baths with clear water, temperature 40. Breathing inside is fine. Between the indoor baths there is a passage to the outdoor bath. The outdoor bath is small, made of stone. There is a narrow local nice view of trees and rocks. The water is clear, temperature 44. There is a sauna and a cold-water tub. Overall not bad, I would say just average. 31.03.2025
