The hotel draws its own hot spring, a clear, faintly salty water known locally as a 'warming bath' for how well it holds heat after you towel off. The baths are split in two. Tenjin-no-yu (天神の湯) is open to day visitors as well as overnight guests, an older, smaller bath whose rotenburo lines up a sweep of the Northern Alps from Goryu-dake to Tsugaike Kogen. Warabidaira-no-yu (わらび平の湯) is the bigger of the two, built with local wood across two differently finished tubs, and laid out with low steps and handrails. It's reserved for guests staying the night, along with a small reservable private bath, Happo (八方). Neither bath has a sauna. It's an older hotel above the village that's been kept up over the years, with a buffet restaurant using local ingredients, a kids' play corner, and common areas and rooms that face the mountains.
