About

Teiregi no Yu draws its water from a self-flowing spring 1,200 meters underground, which is unusual enough that the facility makes a point of it. The outdoor area has several named pools: the gold bath (kinsen, 金泉) and silver bath (ginsen, 銀泉), a barrel tub, a walking bath (aruki-yu, 歩行湯), and the shoulder-pour utaseyu (打たせ湯) fed directly by the natural flow. The flagship bath, Koganeyu (黄金湯), runs mild and is easy to soak in for a long stretch without overheating. Three saunas round out the options: a tent sauna, a salt sauna, and a far-infrared sauna. After bathing, the rest area has free massage chairs, beauty devices, and a manga library of around 4,000 volumes.
