The bath photo is from the internet, and matches only roughly, I visited in the evening. The indoor men’s bath has clear water, temperature 40.5. It is comfortable to breathe inside. The mixed outdoor bath was not operating in January. As the staff explained, it is removed for the winter period because the water temperature ends up being low. 10.01.2026

Kawaji Onsen's public bathhouse sits beside the Oga River with a riverside outdoor mixed bath (rotenburo, 露天風呂) fed by a mild, slightly alkaline simple spring. It's a relaxed community bath, low-key and easy to linger in, with a sauna on the side.
