Classification
Sodium-Calcium Sulfate spring
A weakly alkaline, hot simple-sulfur spring emerging at 50.5 °C. At pH 8.79 it has the slippery, soft feel of Japan's beauty-water family, and a fairly generous 99.3 mg/kg of metasilicic acid leaves the skin noticeably smooth. The water is lightly mineralized overall, so it sits gently on the body.

417. Miyama Sanso, Kurokawa Onsen ★★
I visited for a day trip costing 800 yen. The day trip is available from 10:00 to 15:00. It is located in an area with thatched-roof cottages, away from the center of Kurokawa, near Yamamizuki. Closer to the entrance, I was greeted by a small snowman. Although the onsen is marked on the Kurokawa tegata (stamp rally map), it is not included in the tegata itself. However, you can ask them to put a "secret" stamp on the back of the tegata for fun (this stamp will not count towards the achievement).
When I asked for a water composition sheet, they literally gave me a photocopy from a folder and said I could take it with me.
The outdoor bath is made of stone with an apocalyptic winter view of bare trees. The water is clear but slightly cloudy, with white lime fragments. The temperature is 43°C.
The indoor bath has clear, slightly cloudy water with white lime fragments. The temperature is 42.5°C. It is comfortable to breathe inside.
A good rotenburo (outdoor bath) on its own, and combined with Yamamizuki, it is an excellent option for a visit.
