温泉旅館湯さか荘

Yusakaso A ryokan in Hakone, quite far from the center/station, about a 25 to 30 minute walk, but there are infrequent buses. We based ourselves there for a few days and made trips out to the surrounding area. The ryokan is deliberately traditional, the staff are well trained, and the service is absolutely impeccable, they helped with any request. There is no shower in the room, as in many ryokan. The breakfasts and kaiseki dinners were delicious and varied, and were served right in the room. The same lovely young woman looked after us every day and helped with everything. The rotenburo on the roof has a view of the surrounding mountains, and it is especially cozy in the evening. The outdoor bath is mixed bathing, konyoku. Tattoos and stickers are strictly prohibited. The bath photos are from the internet, in person it is even better. The water in the onsen is warmed a little, because directly from the source it is quite cool, 36°. Otherwise, the bath temperature feels around 42. For half an hour a day, kashikiri is available by reservation at a convenient time, I really liked it. There is a morning shuttle from the hotel to the station, it costs 200 yen 06.07.2026
