A hydrogen-sulfide-type simple sulfur spring with the characteristic rotten-egg note of H2S; the water occasionally turns milky white on contact with air. Weakly acidic and hypotonic, but hot at 52.7 C, and listed on the old facility plaque for neuralgia, muscle pain, and post-illness recovery.

408. Wafuryokan Misato, Kurokawa Onsen ★ Visited for a day trip, located near the tourist center. Usually, day trips are available from 8:30 to 21:00, with some holidays or shortened hours during the week. It is part of the Kurokawa tag. There is a private bath for 3000 yen (did not use). For overnight guests, the indoor bath is available. The outdoor bath is made of stone. There is no view, as it is behind a fence. The water temperature is around 40°C, and the water appearance varied in different months of 2025: - In January, the water was slightly cloudy with a greenish tint; - In April, the water was clear; - In December, the water was cloudy blue, with a slight smell of onsen sulfur.
