A calcium-sodium chloride-sulfate spring, hot enough at the wellhead (68.9 °C) to count among Japan's hotter natural sources. Alkaline at pH 8.6, it carries the slippery beauty-water feel typical of the family. A moderate dose of metasilicic acid (66.9 mg/kg) leaves a faint silica film that smooths the skin afterwards.
