A good number of rooms have their own outdoor onsen bath on the terrace, and some catch a view of Mount Fuji. The water comes from the Shuzenji (修善寺) hot spring, which has fed this onsen town for more than 1,200 years. Guests can also use the shared bath, Mori no Yu (森の湯), which has both an indoor and an outdoor section along with a sauna and a cold bath. That bath is shared with the neighboring Laforet hotel, so guests of both properties use it together. There is also a swimsuit pool zone for mixed bathing, and a reservable hot stone sauna, ganbanyoku (岩盤浴). This is a modern resort hotel on a hillside above the old hot spring town, closer to a Marriott than a ryokan in feel, and a car is pretty much required to get around the grounds or into town. Guests come mainly for the room bath and the view, less for the shared bath itself.
