Yufunogo Saigakukan is a small ryokan in Yufuin with baths that face Mount Yufu straight on. The indoor bath sits behind large windows looking at the mountain, and the open-air bath, Bogaku-no-yu (望岳の湯), opens onto the same view. Both draw on natural hot-spring water that is kept flowing fresh rather than recirculated, and it feels soft and smooth on the skin. Five private family baths, some with an outdoor terrace and some pairing a small indoor tub with an open-air one, can be reserved for a soak away from other guests, and a milder, cooler pool is on offer for anyone who wants a gentler temperature. Several of the newer suite rooms, added in 2024, come with their own onsen bath. A rest area with an irori hearth serves drinks for guests to linger in after bathing. The 16-room inn keeps men's and women's bathing separate, and babies and small children are welcome to stay.
