Classification
Calcium-Sodium Sulfate-Bicarbonate spring
A calcium- and sodium-led sulfate spring with a bicarbonate component layered in, giving the water a settled, mineral-rich body. Neutral in pH and hypotonic, it sits gently on the skin. It carries about 106 mg/kg of metasilicic acid, the kind of silica content that leaves a thin film for noticeably smoother skin.
A hotel for staying with dogs. This accommodation turned out to be the most affordable for us in Yumoto, so I thought it would be fine even with several dogs. We were alone without a dog, but at least with a child 😃. There are 2 onsen zones - we used one, the outdoor bath felt a bit cool, so I went inside to warm up (October). There is higaeri (day-use). The room is very large, with a kerosene heater, a rock garden, a balcony, and a dog bed. There is a welcome alcohol downstairs. Lots of zones for dogs - photo areas, play areas, bars. Food is buffet style for breakfast and dinner, including for dogs. The food was mediocre, we were not hungry but it was nothing special. Free alcohol was available. Ice cream at dinner. They also brought some portions individually - a dog pot that is heated and then used to cook pork. For the child, they separately brought what seemed to be a cutlet and omurice, but quite late, after we had already eaten from the buffet. The staff at dinner were mostly Indian. Photos and details are from the internet.
