About

Hotel Gyokusen sits in Tamatsukuri Onsen and has two large bathhouses, Iwa no Yu (巌の湯) and Hinoki no Yu (檜の湯), which swap between men and women each morning and evening. The rocky hall has a raw stone feel with a waterfall and outdoor bath where you can hear a stream; the hinoki hall has a cypress-scented indoor bath and a garden-facing open-air space with bamboo lanterns at night. Both include a sauna and jacuzzi. The private baths are free-flowing spring water, a step up from the main halls. Day-use bathing is available.
