So-an sabionand is one of several whole-building rentals run by the so-an group in Inatori, a fishing town on the Izu Peninsula whose concept treats the whole town as one inn, spreading rooms, kitchens and baths across different buildings instead of one big hotel. This particular building is a renovated old house that guests take over entirely. There's no bathtub in the rooms, just a shower, so a proper soak here means an optional add-on at the partner ryokan, Inatori Ginsuiso, down the road, said to look out over the sea. Reviewers describe a calm, homey stay with a shared kitchen and lounge, good for groups, families or a stint of remote work.
