About

Ayunokaze is a five-room ryokan set on a hillside above Ito, with every room built around its own open-air bath looking out over the town and the sea. The spring water is kept flowing fresh rather than reused, and guests describe it as light and gentle on the skin. Meals are served in the room rather than in a shared dining hall, and there's no communal bath or public restaurant. It's built for a quiet, self-contained stay: guests often go a whole visit without crossing paths with anyone but staff.
