The main bath at Shogetsutei, called Gekka-no-yu (月下の湯), has both indoor and outdoor baths, a dry sauna, and a cold plunge, with separate areas for men and women. Note that per Kinosaki Onsen town policy, the outdoor baths in guest rooms use plain heated water; actual onsen water flows only in the communal baths and the private spa. For guests who want more privacy, the Mori-no-Private Spa (森のプライベートスパ) offers three reservable rooms, each with an open-air onsen bath, ganbanyoku (岩盤浴, heated stone bathing), and a lounge area. The three rooms take their character from different design traditions: Japanese, Balinese, and Chinese. The private spa is open to overnight guests only, and the whole complex sits within a large forest garden.
