Nozawaonsen Hotel has its own hot-spring source, and it keeps every bath in the building running on fresh spring water: a large indoor bath and three open-air baths, two of which swap between women's and men's hours through the day rather than being mixed. A private open-air bath can be reserved free at the front desk, open around the clock apart from a midday cleaning break, first come first served for a limited time each. Two types of guest rooms come with their own private open-air bath, so there's hot-spring water on hand for the whole stay. Out front, a drinkable spring and a footbath are free to use. The hotel sits in the hot-spring village of Nozawa Onsen, with a coffee corner by a wood stove near the front desk and mountain views around the property.
