Ikaho Onsen Akari no Yado Okabe

Akari no Yado Okabe is a four-room ryokan in Ikaho Onsen built around two private baths. There's no reservation system, you just lock the changing-room door from inside and soak whenever you like. One bath is wood-lined, the other stone, and both draw from the same Shirogane no Yu (白銀の湯) spring, a simple, colorless water that feels soft and smooth on the skin. There's no open-air bath, but with only four rooms sharing two tubs, you rarely wait long. The inn calls itself the smallest in Ikaho, and the scale shows in the details: a self-serve coffee corner by the entrance, seasonal touches like hina dolls (雛人形) in early spring, and dinner served at your own table with mains built around Gunma ingredients such as Akagi chicken, Joshu pork, or Joshu beef.
