Hotel Suimeikan

Suimeikan — one of several large, old hotels with Japanese-style rooms in Yudanaka. 5 minutes on foot from Yudanaka Station. 25 minutes by car to Shiga Kogen ski resorts. 5 minutes by car to Shibu Onsen. A solid hotel — it's seen a lot, but clearly well-maintained. Indoor onsen 42, rotenburo 42, cold bath, sauna. If you stand up in the rotenburo, there's a beautiful view of the town and mountains.
