The baths at Tamatsukuri Onsen Yuyu (玉造温泉ゆ〜ゆ) sit on the top floor of a five-story building whose curved outer walls are shaped after the magatama (勾玉), the comma-shaped jewel that gives Tamatsukuri its name. The water is clear and smooth, noticeably soft on the skin. The open-air section has a cascading utaseyu (打たせ湯) and a deep standing bath where you soak upright to the shoulders. Inside there is a large indoor bath, a dry sauna, and an outdoor mist sauna.
