KKR下呂 しらさぎ( 国家公務員共済連合会下呂保養所)
Open-air outdoor bath
Two independent reviewers confirm a single indoor bath only, no outdoor bath; not contradicted by any official source (kkr.or.jp facility page names only a 展望大浴場, no rotenburo).
Shared bathing area for all genders
Review describes a men's-designated washing/bath area, i.e. normal gender-separated bath; no mixed-bathing mention anywhere.
Shower, wash stations, soap and shampoo provided
The single bath here is indoors, on an upper floor with a wide window over the surrounding mountains, and the water itself is clear and colorless, gentle on the skin. It's gender separated with no outdoor bath and no mixed bathing, just the one room on each side. KKR Gero Shirasagi is run by the national civil servants' mutual aid federation as a stay lodge rather than a conventional ryokan, and it carries that feel: an older building kept clean and quietly maintained, a short uphill walk from the main Gero onsen street rather than right in the middle of it.
