A gentle, lightly mineralized simple thermal spring: just 474 mg/kg of dissolved solids, colorless, tasteless and odorless. What it lacks in mineral punch it makes up for in feel, because at pH 9.0 the water is alkaline enough to give the slippery, soap-like touch that places it in Japan's beauty-water family. The certificate records it as a blend of three wells (Kinugawa-Kawaji Onsen Kanko Kaihatsu No. 1 and No. 2, plus the municipal Oharasawa source), sampled not at any single wellhead but at the distribution station where the three come together.
