YesDay use here isn't bathing only. Visitors book the 0-night, 1-meal course (dinner plus bath): adult 8,800 yen, elementary-age child 6,200 yen, age 3 to preschool 4,400 yen. Add 2,200 to 3,300 yen on Saturdays and the night before holidays.

Aya Tsumugi is a ryokan on the Hoki river in Shiobara Onsen, and most rooms have their own open-air bath fed straight from the spring, so you can soak whenever you like with the river below the window. The shared baths add a large stone-lined indoor room with a tatami-edged side for lying down between soaks, plus two outdoor baths, one under maple trees, the other lined with azaleas. A private outdoor bath, Keyaki-no-yu (けやきの湯), can be booked at the front desk for an extra fee, and overnight guests can also cross over to the sister ryokan Myogaya for more baths. Day visits here are dinner-and-bath only, with no bathing-only option. A small lounge by the stone bath keeps old-fashioned toys like otedama beanbags and spinning tops, a quiet touch amid the more modern comforts.
