Innterhill Tsubasa Yufuin is a small hotel on a wooded hillside above Yufuin, where every one of its nine rooms comes with its own private bath fed by the local onsen water, either fully open-air or half-open-air, and one room has a cypress tub instead. The water is clear and soft on the skin, more about winding down at your own pace than shared bathing. Interiors lean Mediterranean-inspired with a quiet Japanese touch, and some rooms look out toward Mt. Yufu (由布岳). There's no restaurant, only breakfast in the room, so most guests bring or buy their own food for the stay.
