The hotel's own spring, Komoso-yu (古毛曽湯), takes its name from the komuso (虚無僧) monks who once bathed here. The water is a lightly salty, free-flowing spring that the locals credit for soft skin. There are separate indoor and open-air baths, and the rotenburo looks out over Kinko Bay and the Osumi Peninsula. The hotel also runs a free shuttle to Saraku (砂楽), the sand-bath facility that Ibusuki is known for.
