About

Hotel Okada is a large, 122-room hot-spring hotel in Hakone-Yumoto, a short bus ride up from the station. Its own eighth-floor baths pair an outdoor bath ringed by trees, with the sound of the river and birds nearby, and a big indoor bath next to it. A separate day-use annex a few minutes' walk uphill is free for hotel guests and adds a rock bath, a jet bath, a utaseyu (打たせ湯) standing-fall bath, a sauna on the men's side, a cold plunge, and a reservable private family bath. Several room types have their own onsen tub, and the top-floor rooms have a private open-air bath. The water itself is soft and gentle on the skin, easy to soak in for a long stretch, comfortable for both small kids and older guests.
