About

Every bath at this ryokan on Tatado Beach, from the indoor bath to the rooftop open-air tub, looks out over the sea. The bathing floor swaps its men's and women's sides daily by odd or even date, so a two-night stay lets you try both: an Izu-stone bath, a jet-water tub under a half-open roof, and a Western-style outdoor bath built into the hull of an actual repurposed yacht. A separate reservation-only annex closer to the shoreline holds two more private open-air tubs, and many guest rooms have their own outdoor bath as well. It's an older building kept meticulously clean, and guests often mention the attentive, old-school service and home-style meals that bring them back for repeat stays.
