ENOWA YUFUIN

Every room and villa here has its own private open-air bath and an infinity pool, built right into the room. Depending on which one you book, the view runs to Yufu-dake, the pine forest around the property, or the town of Yufuin below. Each room also has a tub indoors. The onsen water is soft and mild on the skin, and the ENOWA spring is known to turn a pale cobalt blue at certain times of year. Guests who want to bathe outside their room can book a separate forest sauna and a standing cold-water bath in timed sessions, apart from the room rate. ENOWA is a farm-driven villa resort above Yufuin, built from stone, wood, and earthen walls. It has its own restaurant and kitchen garden, and is a member of Relais & Chateaux. There is no communal bathing here: every bath is private to a room or booked by name.
