We are big fans of TORECO (トレコ), the company behind Japan's onsen trading cards, so we are really happy to share this: Onsen Oni and TORECO are teaming up. Every facility in our catalog that carries a TORECO card now shows that card right on its page, along with a link to the facility's official TORECO page.

Thank you to the TORECO team for letting us bring their cards into Onsen Oni. It is a lovely fit: they turn a good soak into something you can keep, and we map where all those baths are.

What TORECO cards are

If you have not run into them yet: a TORECO card is a collectible card for a single onsen or bathhouse. You buy the physical one at the front desk for around 200 yen after your bath, or scan a free digital version into the TORECO app. The front has a photo of the place, the back has its water type and bathing highlights. A facility's card is sold only at that facility, so a collection grows the honest way, one visit at a time. Think of it as a Reiwa-era take on the pennants and lantern straps people used to bring home from a hot spring.

Where to find the cards on Onsen Oni

On the program page. Every card facility is gathered on the TORECO program page, where you can browse the whole list or switch to the map to see where they are.

On a place page. Open any facility that has a card and you will see a TORECO section with the card itself, which editions it offers, and a link out to that facility's official TORECO page.

On the map. Card facilities sit on the map like any other place, and the card rides along in the place panel when you tap one, so you can spot a card to pick up while you plan a trip.

The whole roster, on the map

Every facility with a TORECO card is on Onsen Oni, all across the country, each with its card and a link straight to its TORECO page. Live statuses like "sold out" come from TORECO, so they are as current as the shops report back.

If you want to go to the source, TORECO's own sites are the place: the official TORECO site and its onsen card portal.

Big thanks again to the TORECO team for an amazing program, and for letting us put it on the map. Go find a card.
