About
Mujina-no-yu (むじなの湯) is one of three communal baths in the Okushiobara Shinyu (奥塩原新湯) area, tucked at the bottom of a steep staircase. The bath is small, gender-separated, and the water is a milky sulfur spring that flows in fresh from below the floor. Guests staying at inns in the Shinyu area can enter for free. As of December 2024, all three baths in the area are suspended; check the Shiobara Onsen Tourism Association site before visiting.
