Hana Momiji (花もみじ) is a full-stay onsen ryokan in Jozankei (定山渓), about an hour from central Sapporo. The water is a clear, mildly salty spring that leaves the skin feeling smooth. Three large baths are available to guests: the top-floor Fugetsu Tenbo Yuden (風月展望浴殿), an indoor observatory bath with views over the national park, a Japanese-garden rotenburo on a lower floor, and the riverside outdoor bath in the adjacent main building, connected by a bridge. Three private kashikiri baths are also available for those who prefer to soak alone. The premium floor has in-room baths fed by a dedicated kakenagashi (source-flow) spring. A sauna with a river-water cold plunge, opened in 2022, sits in the connected building. Jozankei's springs have been flowing since 1866.
