At pH 2.2 it is strongly acidic, sharp enough to prickle slightly on the skin, and the kind of water with a track record on stubborn skin conditions. 181. Onsen Hotel Gorakan, Hakone ★ I dropped in randomly for a day trip bath at 13:35, and in the end paid ¥3,000 for a private bath and ¥1,200 for the public indoor bath. Towels are provided. The private bath will be more expensive if there are more people. It is near Gora Station. The private outdoor bath has milky water and a lot of white sediment, it was literally lying on the bottom. The temperature is hot+. The public indoor bath is old-school and in need of repair, one of the bath edges had come loose. The water is milky with white sediment. The sediment even clumps into small bubbles on the surface. The water is hot. It was a bit stuffy inside. If you want a private bath with nice sediment-rich water, it is worth stopping by, and it is close to the station. The public bath is debatable. 12/07/2024
