About

Naruko Ryokan sits in Naruko Onsen (鳴子温泉), a hot-spring town in Miyagi with a history stretching back roughly 1,200 years. The ryokan draws water from its own spring on the premises, and the water has long been called a beauty bath (美人の湯, bijin no yu) for the way it leaves skin noticeably soft after soaking. The bath is indoors, separated into men's and women's sides, with a large picture window. Rooms are traditional Japanese style, meals are served in private dining rooms, and the owners will pick guests up from Naruko Onsen or Naruko-Goten'yu station on request.
