Calm, quiet atmosphere, good transport access (from Nagoya Station, a bus to Hirugami Onsen, the stop is nearby), a pretty little garden and a pond with carp, free drinks (tea, coffee, sake, wine, beer). The ryokan itself is a bit worn, but cozy and comfortable. Inside there are many prints and various curiosities. The stone rotenburo and uchiyu are quite large, with men and women alternating once a day. There is a massage bath and a sauna. There is also a private bath, but I did not go. The water is clear, with a slightly soapy feel. I was put off by a chemical smell, like a swimming pool, but I am not a water specialist. 14.06.2026
