Yamatoya Hotel

A small business ryokan right by Muikamachi station. The bath is a single shared tub of hot spring water that reviewers describe as greenish and kept flowing fresh (kakenagashi). Because there is only one tub, families and women end up using it on their own. The rooms are tatami with a kotatsu in winter, and the whole building has a Showa-era feel: quiet and simple, not fancy.
