Five Prefectures
Four Regions
Onsen Oni is a map of Japan's hot springs, kept by the people who bathe in them. The passport is the part that's yours: tap “I've been here” on a place and it goes on your page, with the day you went.
How it works
Mark a visit
On a place page or on the map, tap “I've been here” and pick the day. Baths from years ago count too.Earn drops
Visits and reviews earn drops, the passport's points. They only add up: nothing is spent and nothing runs out.Level up
Drops add up to levels. The first few come quickly; later ones take a season or two of bathing.Watch your map fill in
Your passport keeps a journal of every visit, a map of the places and a count of the prefectures you've bathed in.
Badges
Counted badges come by themselves as your places, prefectures, regions and reviews add up. Each gauge shows its steps.
