Sakasamaki hot spring Kawazuya

A ryokan on a mountain slope in Tsunan, in the Akiyama-go area. The bath people talk about is the cave-style one, where steam fills the space and the soft, colorless water warms you through. Guests also mention that the water can be sipped. Dinner is local: mountain vegetables, venison and bear stew. The road up to the inn is steep, and in heavy snow guests sometimes leave the car below and walk.
