Masuya is a small ryokan in Hinoemata village, on the way to Oze. The indoor bath is an all-cypress room with Towada stone (十和田石) for the tub and the washing area, and the hot water is plentiful. The open-air bath sits among trees and is open from May to the end of October; it can be closed in bad weather. The baths are separate for men and women. The changing room floor is Aizu paulownia wood, which feels warm underfoot. The water is mild and plain, the kind that warms you through.
