Shiki no Sato (四季の里) is a small inn of 23 rooms, mostly Japanese-style, on the hill above Lake Inawashiro. The bath is indoors only, on the third floor, and looks out over the lake. The water comes from the inn's own spring and runs a cloudy, iron-tinted gold-brown with a faint sulfur smell. Dinner is Aizu-style kaiseki in the downstairs restaurant. The building began life as a municipal youth center and has been a privately run inn since 2021, so it feels quiet and unfussy rather than polished. It sits out of town, and a shuttle meets guests at Inawashiro station.
