Sulfate

A blended source — three Shima Onsen springs, Yu-no-Izumi-no-Yu, Yamadori-no-Yu and Gomuso-no-Yu, combined into calcium-sodium sulfate water. The sulfate lends a settled, mineral body, while the alkaline reading gives the slippery finish that places it in Japan's beauty-water family. Metasilicic acid runs high enough to leave a thin silica film, so skin feels noticeably smoother afterwards. The posting states the bath is run as untreated source flow: no dilution, no reheating, no recirculation and no disinfection.

Warmth eases stiffness and raises the pain threshold. Radon and sulfate springs show the strongest evidence for joint and muscle pain.
