The water is neutral in pH and moderately mineralized — 1,313 mg/kg of dissolved solids gives it noticeable weight without any sharpness. Metasilicic acid at 118.3 mg/kg places it squarely in Japan's beauty-water family: silica at that concentration leaves a thin film on the skin that bathers tend to register as smoothness on the way out.
