Oyasu Sauna

A private sauna in the Oyasukyo Onsen area, just across from the inn Akisen. The sauna is an outdoor trailer heated by a wood stove, and you pour the water on the stones yourself. Cooling off is in two cold plunge tanks made from miso barrels, and an open-air bath can be used during the session. It is reportedly the neighbouring inn's bath, shared with the group that booked. A window looks out on the mountains of the gorge, and in winter a tent sauna is set up. Sessions are by reservation for one group at a time, and parking is available.
