Hotel Kameya Honten

Hotel Kameya Honten is a ryokan in Togura-Kamiyamada Onsen that has been operating for about 125 years. The spring water is a plain sulfur type, with a faint mineral edge on the skin. The main indoor bath, Otohime-no-yu, is built entirely in cypress, and the garden rotenburo comes in both cypress and stone versions, with the men's and women's sides alternating through the day. Four private baths can be booked by the hour, in granite, ceramic, cypress and wood barrel styles, and the two on the top floor look out over the Chikuma River. Five guest rooms have their own onsen bath filled with the same source water.
