Okame-yu

An old-style bathhouse in Yahiro, Sumida Ward, about a 5-minute walk from Keisei-Hikifune Station. A mask of its namesake okame sits atop the copper-clad gabled entrance roof, and the building keeps a temple-style (miyazukuri) form with tiled bath artwork. The well water is heated over a wood fire in the traditional way, there is a hot bath and a medicated bath, and the men's side has a small garden with a shrine.
