About
Kaikonoyado Mansakuya is a small family-run ryokan built around a farmhouse relocated from the late Edo period, with beams and joinery from the original building still on show after more than 170 years. There are four private hot-spring baths, free to use and open to whoever is staying without a reservation, unlimited during your stay; one of them has roses floating in the water. Two of the room types have their own ceramic onsen tub. Dinner is served in a private dining room rather than a hall, kaiseki style with seasonal ingredients from around Kokonoe. The setting is rural and quiet, rice fields around the building and little else nearby.
