Sauna room of any kind
Shared bathing area for all genders
Relaxation space for after bathing
A small public bath inside the Kitaaizu health centre, run by the Aizuwakamatsu social welfare council. There are two bath rooms, one for men and one for women, and they swap every week. A single sauna sits on one side, so it is worth checking by phone which side has it. After the bath you can rest in the tatami halls, where tea is set out. It feels more like a community hall than a sento, and the crowd is mostly local regulars. The baths are compact, so bring your own toiletries and expect it to fill up at busy times.
