The centre is closed on national holidays, substitute holidays and from 29 December to 3 January. Whether the bath follows the same closures is unclear, so check before going.

Open-air outdoor bath
Sauna room of any kind
Shared bathing area for all genders
A restaurant or dining room open to visitors, not only meals for overnight guests
Shower, wash stations, soap and shampoo provided
Kasumiga Onsen is a small public bath inside a municipal welfare centre in Yamagata city. There are separate men's and women's baths plus an accessible bath, and reviewers say shampoo and body soap are set out. There is no sauna and no open-air bath, so it is a plain, local place for a quiet soak. A light-meal cafe on the first floor of the same centre is handy afterwards.
