About
This is a plain day-use bathhouse in the old castle town of Matsumae, the kind of place locals drop into after work. The single indoor tub is filled with salty, mineral-rich water, and there is a small sauna and a cold-water bath in an adjoining sunroom, but no rotenburo. A tatami rest room and a snack counter serving ramen, soba and other quick dishes round out the visit. Soap and shampoo aren't stocked at the wash stations, so bring your own or buy a bathing set at the front desk.
