Sukagawa Shimin Onsen (須賀川市民温泉) is a city-run bath that opened in 1983. The bathing room is built around one large indoor bath with a row of jet-bath seats along the windows, plus a handful of washing stations. There is no sauna. The water is slippery and soft on the skin, the kind regulars say keeps you warm and leaves the skin moist after you get out. It is a plain public facility, not a pretty one, and the building shows its age. Locals use it as an everyday bath, and visitors from other towns come back for the water. There is a rest area for those who want to stay longer, and a large parking lot.
