It was only possible to book an overnight stay for two people, but the Japanese grandmother never managed to understand that I would be alone and needed a double meal, in the end they served only one. The most disappointing part was that the food was simple, but really tasty, and in double portions it would have been great for me. Inside, it is a simple, true old farmhouse. There are very few rooms. Everything is old, authentic, and the soundproofing is poor. The room is as simple as possible, also authentic, it feels like the most rural experience possible. The toilet and sinks are shared across the corridor inside the house. In March it was cold in the house. In practice, only thin walls separate it from the street. When the floor heater is on, the room is warm and comfortable. But when it is off, the room cools down very quickly and becomes cold, and it has to be turned off for the night. At night they also provide a thick blanket and a throw on top, and a heated cover under the futon on the floor. There is a private wooden bath, no reservation, first come, first served. The water is tap water, with a temperature of 42. It is easy to breathe inside. I really liked it. It is a pity that there was a misunderstanding about the double meal, but otherwise I got exactly what I wanted.
