明美湯あけみゆ
Closed Thursdays (but open on the 5th Thursday).
Uses natural hot spring water
An Adachi ward bathhouse featured on TV and in magazines, whose pride is water from Hokkaido's Futamata onsen. The alkaline water keeps you warm long after bathing, and the men's side even has a pool. Its individual jet tubs let you add various bath agents and run them by switch, an unusual touch that guests enjoy. There is also a rock bath, a sauna, a cold-water bath, hot and cool baths, set in classic miya-zukuri architecture with a coffered ceiling. Reached by various buses to Umejima Daini Sho-dori, then a one-minute walk, or about thirteen minutes on foot from Umejima Station on the Tobu Isesaki Line.
